Indian cricket star Virat Kohli returned to domestic cricket after nearly 12 years by representing Delhi in the Ranji Trophy match against Railways. Kohli could score only six runs in the first innings, but he was quite active in the field. On the last day of the second day's play, the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) honored him with a shawl and a special memento as recognition for his achievements. The DDCA representatives acknowledged Kohli’s remarkable contribution to Indian cricket, having played over 100 Test matches for the national team.
Ayush Badoni Falls Short of Century, But Delhi Takes Lead
Despite Virat Kohli scoring very low (6), Delhi found itself ahead on the day on which Railways declared at 241 runs on board. While Delhi finished at 334/7 at end of Day 2, it was Sumit (78) and Siddhant Sharma (15)** in the crease at stumps. Captain Ayush Badoni played a thrilling knock of 99 runs on 77 deliveries, which carried 12 fours and 3 sixes for him but sadly fell short by one run short of a well-deserved hundred.
