CM Revanth Reddy Challenges KCR To Debate In Legislative Assembly

KCR, come out of the farm house, step into people's life: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy

Telangana CM Revanth Reddy on Tuesday dared former CM KCR to come out of his farmhouse and hold a debate in the Legislative Assembly. Taking a direct jab at KCR, Revanth Reddy said:

"KCR, you are a ₹1,000 note gone bad. Useful once, you are now getting into trouble from holding it on. You've lost touch with the people. Come to mainstream and face realities."

He severely criticized KCR for keeping a distance from people's life. He asked the Chief Minister to discuss important subjects in the state assembly.

Congress Government's Achievements in Six Months

CM Revanth Reddy pointed out that the Congress government has achieved many things in the short span of six months in power:

  • 55,143 jobs have been provided.
  • BC caste census and SC classification reports will be introduced in the assembly.
  • Farmers' welfare and financial assistance schemes are being implemented effectively.

Revanth Reddy invited KCR to debate these issues in the assembly, stressing that the people would decide who has done more for Telangana.

Telangana's Financial Status – A Reality Check

Rebutting criticism on the state's financial situation, Revanth Reddy said:

  • When Congress came to power, Telangana had a surplus of ₹16,000 crore.
  • KCR's government left the state with a debt of ₹7 lakh crore.
  • KCR's government allocated ₹18,000 crore to farmers. But only ₹8,500 crore was paid.
  • Congress wrote off ₹21,000 crore in farm loans within 60 days. The benefit went to 25.50 lakh farmers.

Revanth Reddy declared that the Farmer's Guarantee Scheme would credit ₹6,000 per acre directly into the bank accounts of farmers by March 31. He said all financial figures would be presented in the assembly on February 6 and 7.

"KCR, come to the assembly and debate. Let's settle this once and for all!" he challenged.

Sarcastic Remarks about KCR's Social Media Accounts

CM Revanth Reddy mocked KCR for claiming to be popular through TikTok polls, saying,

"In the past, Rakhi Sawant had more likes than Salman Khan. Does that mean she is a bigger star than him? Winning elections matters, not social media likes."

He asked party workers to concentrate on winning the MPTC and ZPTC elections rather than competing in the popularity stakes of social media.

Strengthening Public Education – No to Corporate Schools

Revanth Reddy condemned the corporatization of education under KCR's government. He announced key initiatives to improve the education system:

  • ₹21,000 crore allocated to revamp schools and universities.
  • Retirement age of professors increased to 65 to ensure quality education.
  • Commitment to strengthening government schools instead of promoting private institutions.

"No matter the pressure, we will not allow private and corporate schools to take over education," he assured.

Mogiligida ZP High School Gets ₹10 Crore Grant

During the 150th year of Mogiligida Zilla Parishad High School in Shadnagar, CM Revanth Reddy:

  • Announced a grant of ₹10 crores for the development of the school.
  • Proposed an Advanced Technology Center for technical education after class 10.
  • Promised to give a Minority Community Hall and further infrastructure development.

He remembers great leaders like Burgula Ramakrishna Rao, Chenna Reddy, and Satyanarayana Reddy who studied at this heritage institution.

"It is the teachers who should discover the hidden talents in this soil," he said.

International Partnership - Singapore & Stanford University

CM Revanth Reddy highlighted his interest in higher education and skill development as well.

  • Young India Skills University is for technical training.
  • Singapore universities have collaborated with Telangana for foreign education expertise.
  • There is an agreement under progress with Stanford University for improving technical education.

Legislative Council Chief Whip Patnam Mahender Reddy, MLCs Kodandaram, Damodar Reddy, and Shadnagar MLA Veerlapalli Shankar were the dignitaries who attended the function.
