Rebel Groups Pose Barrier To Iran Nuclear Agreement

US Terms for Iran Nuclear Accord

Iran needs to end its support for rebel groups before the nuclear accord is possible, America has said. President Donald Trump laid down the condition that Iran should end its support for terrorist organizations and proxy wars. He also demanded that Iran should end its production of nuclear weapons forever.

President Trump, in the process of talking at a meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) held in Riyadh by Prince Mohammed bin Salman, reemphasized the very same ideas. During the conference, he alluded to the fact that Iran would never have nuclear weapons and urged the nation to end its support of Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and Houthis in Yemen.

Trump's Warning to Iran

While speaking to the media aboard Air Force One, President Trump threatened Iran directly. According to him, Iran has to decide regarding the nuclear program in the right way. If not, something can be done — unilaterally or otherwise. He was specific that it can be peaceful or warlike and warned that a warlike approach will besmirch peace.

Abbas Araghchi, the Iranian Foreign Minister, hit back at Trump by accusing him of lying. He did, however, affirm that Trump made no direct communication of these remarks to Iran.
