Apple Xcode 26 Integrates ChatGPT And Liquid Glass Design Update

Apple Merges ChatGPT with Xcode 26

Apple launched Xcode 26 at WWDC 2025, including ChatGPT integration right into its development platform. Developers can now code, debug, write documentation for features, and test apps using AI-powered help. This latest update makes app development easier by integrating machine learning with dev tools.

Xcode 26 also supports third-party AI model integration by API key support, providing developers with greater freedom to select and utilize various AI systems.

AI Model Execution on Local Apple Devices

Apple silicon-powered Apple devices can locally execute AI models. Such devices can work without an internet connection. Apple introduced a Models Framework, which enables developers to use Apple's AI tools within three lines of code.

Users are able to access ChatGPT within Xcode without having to log into an OpenAI account, which is quicker and more convenient.

Xcode Receives New Navigation and Accessibility

In addition to AI, Xcode 26 brings a fresh navigation system, improved app translation support, and voice control. All these new features are aimed at enhancing development pace as well as app accessibility.

Liquid Glass Design Coming to Apple Devices

Apple has also introduced a new Liquid Glass design for iPhone, Mac, and Watch. This would be implemented across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and watchOS all at the same time. Apple claims it as an effort to bring unified visual experience across all its platforms.

Apple Vice President of Design, Alan Dye, called it a significant visual refresh. He explained, "LiquidGlass brings a glass-like, liquid transparency that adapts to your content, offering clarity and control for an immersive experience."
