Google Introduces AI Search Mode in India
Google has introduced its AI-based search mode to Indian users. The information came from Google CEO Sundar Pichai. The AI mode makes people's online search better. It operates in collaboration with the traditional Google search system. Unlike the past method, it provides more complete and more direct answers.
Earlier Availability and Expansion in India
The feature was initially launched in the United States this year. It came to Indian users in June in a testing phase. It was then available only through Google Labs. Given user reviews and test results, Google has now rolled it out all over India. Users are able to use the AI search without registration through Search Labs. This is, however, available only in English for now.
How AI Search Mode Works
AI mode provides lengthy responses to long questions. Previously, in regular search, full answers required users to enter multiple searches. That is not the case with this new mode. It employs Gemini 2.5 technology. It divides one long question into shorter ones. It then collects information from the web. It combines these facts to form a complete answer. It also indicates pertinent links for those who wish to learn more. Google explains that this assists particularly with activities such as comparisons of items or trip planning.
How to Use Google AI Mode
The AI mode can be accessed by users via the new tab on Google Search results or within the search bar of the Google app. It supports typed queries, voice commands, and images through Google Lens. It can provide answers in any of these input forms. The service is only available in English now. Google intends to make it available in other languages in the near future. This feature is in beta form at present. If the AI cannot give a sure answer, Google will display regular search results instead.
Platform Availability
The AI mode is rolling out slowly. It will be available on both desktop and mobile platforms in the next few days.
