36 Questions Asked To Ex-Minister Anil Kumar Yadav In Nellore Inquiry

Background of the Case

Ex-minister Anil Kumar Yadav has said he was complained against because he objected to the attack on the residence of ex-MLA Prasanna Kumar Reddy in Kovur, which is in Nellore district.

The case also contains alleged in-appropriate statements against present Kovur MLA Prashanthi Reddy.

Police Inquiry Details

The police questioning was conducted at the Nellore Rural DSP office on Monday.

Anil Kumar Yadav arrived at the DSP office at 10 a.m., where he was grilled by Nellore Rural DSP Ghattamaneni Srinivasa Rao and Kovur CI Sudhakar Reddy.

During the interrogation, officers are said to have posed 36 questions regarding the case.

Statement to Media

Following the questioning, Anil Kumar Yadav spoke to reporters.

He claimed that his name was included in the case as he laughed at the remarks made by Prasanna Kumar Reddy at a public gathering.

He asked if it was an offense to laugh on stage.
