Donald Trump Asserts He Prevented Nuclear War Between India And Pakistan

Trump asserts role in resolution of several global crises

Former US President Donald Trump said that he was instrumental in resolving a few international conflicts over the past few months. Ahead of his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin later this week, Trump reiterated his assertion of intervening in the standoff between India and Pakistan.

Trump stated that both nations were poised to go into a nuclear war. He added that six to seven military planes were downed during those times. Trump stated that he personally intervened to defuse the situation. At the White House, he also stated that he had ended six wars in the past half-year.

I stopped six wars in six months. I am very proud of that. Indian and Pakistani planes went into the air, and six to seven were shot out of the sky. When those two nations were getting ready for nuclear war, we solved it ourselves," Trump claimed.

India's stand on the incident

India has insisted that the Indian decision to attack terror camps in Pakistan, as part of Operation Sindoor, was taken on its own. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, recently, informed the Lok Sabha that no foreign country suggested that India stop operations. He mentioned that the mission was closed only when it had completed its predetermined goals.

Trump's meeting with Putin

Trump is preparing to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin on August 15 in Alaska. The meeting is scheduled to take place at the Elmendorf-Richardson Base in Anchorage, according to U.S. media reports. While Trump met Putin six times during his previous presidency, this will be their first meeting since he took office for a second term.
