Free Access to Gemini Pro for Jio Users
Reliance Jio announced a special offer for its users as the company will provide Google's Gemini Pro plan free for 18 months. The update was confirmed by Reliance Industries in a statement released on Thursday. The free plan is valued at a total of ₹35,100. To deliver this benefit, the company has collaborated with its subsidiary, Reliance Intelligence Limited, and Google.
Offer Availability and Eligibility
The Gemini Pro free plan will be available from October 30. Initially, the first phase of the offer will be opened up to subscribers between the ages of 18 and 25 who own unlimited 5G plans. It will eventually extend to other user groups in phases.
Features Included in the Gemini Pro Plan
Eligible users will be provided with several advanced AI features, including:
- Gemini 2.5 Pro model
- 2GB cloud storage
- Vio 3.1 video generator
- Nano Banana image generation tool
In addition, users can access Gemini services such as:
- NotebookLM
- Gemini Code Assist
- Gmail Integration
- Google Docs support
How to Activate the Free Plan
Users will need to open the MyJio app and click on the “Claim Now” banner to activate the offer. Existing Gemini Pro subscribers can change to the Jio Google AI Pro plan when their plans expire.
Similar Offer from Airtel
Telecom operator Airtel has also launched a similar promotional offer. It is offering its prepaid, postpaid, and broadband customers a free one-year subscription to Perplexity Pro.
