Expansion in Bengaluru’s Tech Corridor
- Alphabet has leased an office tower in Alembic City, which is located in the Whitefield technology corridor of Bengaluru. The company has acquired two additional land parcels which total approximately 2.4 million square feet.
- The total area can accommodate up to 20,000 new employees after the construction process is completed. The expansion shows that Bengaluru serves as an important base for international technology firms.
Current Workforce Details
Alphabet employs approximately 14,000 workers in India at this time. The company maintains a worldwide employee count of around 190000 workers. Alphabet plans to use the new campus development to establish a permanent business presence in India.
