An official announcement states that today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a two-day visit to Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Bihar. He'll start a number of development initiatives across the three states.

At 11 a.m., the Prime Minister will arrive at Sindri, Dhanbad, Jharkhand, where he would participate in a public programme and introduce several development projects valued at Rs 35,700 crore.

PM Modi will arrive in Arambagh, in the Hooghly district of Bengal, at 3 p.m., and he will lay the cornerstone for numerous development projects valued at more than Rs 7,200 crore. He would next visit in Krishnagar, in the Nadia district of Bengal, the next day, to inaugurate projects valued at Rs 15,000 crore.

On March 2, at 2:30 pm, Prime Minister Modi will touch down in Aurangabad, Bihar, to officially launch a number of development projects valued at Rs 21,400 crore. The Prime Minister will then go to Begusarai, Bihar, at 5:15 p.m. to take part in a public function and to inaugurate a number of oil and gas sector projects valued at approximately Rs 1.48 lakh crore nationwide. In Bihar, numerous more projects valued at around Rs 13,400 crore would also be initiated.

The Prime Minister will initiate several developmental projects in Jharkhand pertaining to the rail, power, coal, and fertiliser sectors, as per an official statement released by the PMO. Prime Minister Modi will dedicate several development projects pertaining to ports, trains, oil pipelines, LPG supply, and wastewater treatment, as well as lay the cornerstone for them at Bengal's Arambagh.

He will lay the cornerstone for several projects in the electricity, rail, and road sectors in Krishnanagar, including the construction of a thermal power plant in Raghunathpur, Purulia district.

According to the PMO release, PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for many developmental projects in Bihar's Aurangabad. These projects include the construction of six national highways costing Rs 18,100 crore and 12 Namami Gange projects worth roughly Rs 2,190 crore. The plans also include for building a six-lane bridge over the Ganga as a component of the Patna Ring Road. It will rank among India's longest river crossings.

The Prime Minister will introduce and dedicate numerous oil and gas projects worth around Rs 1.48 lakh crore, which are scattered across several states like Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Haryana, in Begusarai. Additionally, he will introduce the "1962 Farmers App," which is a record of all the data and information available to farmers under the "Bharat Pashudhan" database, and "Bharat Pashudhan," a digital database for livestock animals in the nation.

Politically crucial is PM Modi's trip to Bengal, Jharkhand, and Bihar, particularly in light of the impending Lok Sabha elections. Since former Chief Minister Hemant Soren's arrest in the money-laundering case, this will be his first visit to Jharkhand. Additionally, it will be the prime minister's first trip to Bihar since chief minister and leader of the Janata Dal (United), Nitish Kumar, left the opposition-led India alliance and joined the NDA. Politically speaking, PM Modi's visit to Bengal is very noteworthy because it coincides with the Sandeskhali conflict.
