Motorola has kinda expanded the G-series lineup across India. The firm introduced two fresh smartphones, Moto G37 and Moto G37 Power, and yeah both are meant for the entry-level crowd. They’re pretty close on the basics, but there’s a real difference in battery size plus how fast you can top it up, like in everyday terms.
As for what’s powering them, both handsets use the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset. They also both come with Android 16 onboard. So, in a simple sense, the “same core” idea is there, but the battery capacity and pricing plan are what really separate the two.
Display and Design
On the front, the Moto G37 versions sport a 6.6-inch HD+ LCD panel. The screen offers a 120Hz refresh rate which helps make scrolling and motion a bit more fluid, with less stutter, even if it’s not fancy.
Brightness-wise, you get up to 1,050 nits at peak level. And, there’s an IP64 rating too, so it should handle dust and light splashes in a basic way.
Motorola also included Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for added cover on the display. For locking and access, there’s a fingerprint sensor mounted on the side, pretty standard nowadays.
Weight wise, the Moto G37 sits around 191 grams. The G37 Power tips the scales at 215 grams, mainly because it carries a bigger battery inside.
Performance and Software
For performance, both phones are built around the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor. Depending on the variant you pick, you’ll get entry-level RAM and storage configurations.
Out of the box, Android 16 is running on both models. Motorola’s software is still very near stock Android, so the interface stays straightforward, calm, and not overly heavy.
Overall performance is positioned for day-to-day stuff like calls, browsing, social apps, plus video streaming and similar routine use. Not meant as a powerhouse, more like reliable daily utility.
Camera setup
The Moto G37 and G37 Power kinda come with a dual rear camera kind of arrangement. The main sensor is 50MP , so it is meant for everyday moments and for daylight scenes, nothing too fussy.
There’s also an 8MP front camera for selfies , and for video calling. Overall the system feels kept basic, more about simple everyday use than those more advanced photography tweaks that people sometimes chase.
Battery and charging
This is where the two models really split.
Moto G37 has a 5,200mAh battery. For charging it supports 20W wired fast charging , and it also brings 6W wired reverse charging.
Moto G37 Power has the bigger 7,000mAh battery. It offers 30W wired fast charging along with 6W reverse charging.
The Power variant is basically tuned for longer runtimes. It should easily clear more than a full day, assuming normal usage vibes.
