IPO Market Raises Rs. 1.76 Lakh Crore In 2025

The year 2025 saw strong growth for the Indian IPO sector. A total amount of Rs. 1.76 lakh crore was raised by companies through the IPO route. Many large companies along with startups launched listing in the stock markets of the country. According to market analysts, the same growth will continue in the upcoming year as well.

Increasing numbers of investors also focused on short-term gains. Out of 103 listed firms, 70 firms presented gains on the listing dates. Simultaneously, 32 firms were listed at losses. The average size of the IPOs in a year was around 1,700 crores.

Tech Startups Make Firm Footprints in the Market

The number of initial public offerings conducted by startups has been considerably high this year. In total, 18 startups have issued shares in the stock market. This list also includes Lenskart, Groww, Meesho, and Physics Wallah. These companies have jointly collected Rs. 41,000 crore through the stock market. That is higher compared to the Rs. 29,000 crore amount that was collected in 2024.

Increase in Offer for Sale Activity

The OFS activity also saw a substantial increase in 2025. OFS is a facility that allows promoters to reduce their holding by offloading part of their shares during an IPO. The segment contributed close to 60 percent of total IPOs in 2025.

Growth in the SME IPO Segment

The SME segment also saw steady growth. A total number of 252 SME companies mobilized Rs. 11,400 crore through IPOs in 2025. This was against 222 companies that mobilized Rs. 9,580 crore in the previous year.

IPO Calendar for the year 2026

  • The pipeline for IPOs in 2026 looks pretty strong. More than 75 companies have got approval from market regulator SEBI. Some 100 odd companies are awaiting approval. These companies belong to the technology, financial services, infrastructure, energy, and consumer goods space.
  • Major IPOs likely in the coming year include those of Reliance Jio, SBI Mutual Fund, OYO, PhonePe, and Flipkart. This is indicative of steady action on the primary markets.
