Postal Services Now Available on Smartphones
The Department of Posts has introduced a new mobile application to enable easy access to postal services for the citizens. The Dak Sewa App empowers the users to access any postal service on their smartphone in the quickest possible and efficient manner. With this launch, the department aims to bring all its services directly to users' hands.
The department posted on its official X account: “Now the post office is in your pocket.”
All Postal Services in One App
According to the Department of Posts, Dak Sewa App would contain all major postal services. These would include:
- Track current status of parcels, speed post, and money orders.
- Calculate postage for domestic and international mail instantly
- Register complaints and pay insurance premiums.
- Book speed post, registered post, and parcel services right through the app.
- With the support for GPS, users can also find the address of nearby post offices. Similarly, there is a dedicated section for corporate customers within this application.
Easy Downloading and Registration Process
Downloading and setting up the Dak Sewa App is relatively easy:
- Search for “Dak Sewa App” on Google Play Store or on Apple App Store.
- Install the official application published by the Department of Posts, Government of India.
- Open the application and sign up either with your mobile number or email ID.
