The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Undergraduate 2025 was held on Sunday across India in close observation. This time, the Physics section was found by aspirants to be more challenging than usual, having been described by many as compared to JEE Advanced levels. The surprise difficulty in such questions left most students off-guard, with extreme levels of stress and lukewarm attempts.
Unprecedented Physics Toughness Causes Stress Among Students
NEET UG 2025 was a change from the past years when it comes to toughness, especially for Physics. Students from all over the nation have alleged that most of the questions were way beyond the standard NEET levels and were near JEE Advanced as far as toughness is concerned. As per coaching centers, this is the first time that a shift of this kind has been noticed in the trend of the exam, with even well-prepared students struggling to finish the section within time.
This added complexity had a domino effect while being tested. Because the majority of students start with Biology and Chemistry, then move to Physics, most reached the Physics section with less time on their hands. The long and calculation-based questions also added to the pressure, and many admitted to not being able to complete the section.
Biology Section Provides Balance, Botany Deficient in Reason
The Biology section was evenly split, but Botany dominated with greater Reason-Assertion and Matching type questions. Fifty questions belonged to Botany, and it proved helpful to students who knew that subject very well. More than half the questions in Biology were of medium difficulty, but one question in "Reproductive Health" under Zoology caused anxiety among teachers and students because it purportedly exceeded the NCERT syllabus.
A few of the testees mentioned that they were sure that they could get to answer more than 40 items in Biology. The section of Chemistry had a test of its own. The Organic Chemistry items were exceedingly difficult, and the section itself was time-consuming because of the long length and the intricacies of most of the items.
Time Management Upset by Long Chemistry and Biology Sections
Usually, students ration their time by doing Biology and Chemistry in haste and then investing more time on Physics. The long questions on both subjects for the 2025 exam came as a hurdle to this approach. Students had already fallen behind schedule when they even started tackling the Physics portion, which loaded them with greater pressure when they got to its higher level difficulty.
Coaching experts feel that those students who take regular class courses could have fared better in such situations. They would have been best suited to handle both the longer and wider array of questions that appeared in this year by getting regular exposure to tough testing patterns.
Rain and Traffic Add to Exam Day Struggles
Some areas had transportation problems on test day, such as morning rain and heavy traffic, which left many students en route to test sites late. Even after they arrived, late-arrival candidates were denied access under test regulations. Witnesses testified to scenes of despair at a number of locations, where upset students were turned away.
To the detriment, exam centers stipulated more stringent conditions. Electronic gadgets and wristwatches did not see eye-to-eye and were denied entrance, having the candidates bank entirely on wall clocks and self-motivation to get the better of time on the three-hour test.
