Phone Tapping Case: Surveillance On 18 Telangana High Court Judges Uncovered

Shocking revelations have emerged in the illegal phone tapping case investigation. Authorities discovered that the profiles of 18 judges from the Telangana High Court, including five women judges, were stored in a computer belonging to the accused.

Illegal Surveillance Linked to Telangana SIB Officials

In another case, an illegal telephone tapping case was lodged against the team led by OSD of the Telangana Special Intelligence Branch (SIB) Prabhakar Rao. The accused phones and computers seized by Hyderabad police were subjected to forensic test and the lab has now revealed important evidence to support the prosecution's case.

Critical Findings in the FSL Report

  • The third accused, Bhujanga Rao's hard disk contained:
    • ​Profiles of political leaders at the constituency level
    • Candidate MLA from different political parties
    • Judges, including 18 from the Telangana High Court
  • Amongst the judges:
    • ​Three who had retired recently
    • One has been promoted to the Supreme Court
    • Three have been transferred to other High Courts

There was also the profile of the important judge of the Nampally ACB Courts, which was functioning under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

Personal Information Collected

The profiles contained detailed personal information, including:

  • Photographs
  • Birth certificates
  • Educational background
  • Career details
  • Family members' information

Authorities suspect that as more details from the FSL report emerge, further shocking revelations may come to light. Investigations are ongoing.
